Where did I go?!

Hey Y'all! It's been over three weeks since I have posted anything on here. I'm so sorry I just dropped off without telling anyone anything. It's been pretty crazy since I have been gone. First off I have been experiencing a lot of personal things preventing me from honestly having the motivation to post. Secondly, the kids at school are getting rowdier and rowdier as we are inching to summer and post evening I end up coming home and falling asleep till late in the night. I'm still getting used to using all of this energy. I have been out of shape for so long and it's really wearing me out. And lastly it's been so rainy the past weeks I haven't been able to get out and take any photos. You don't expect that in Texas.

Wanna know what else you don't expect in Texas? Flooding. And tornadoes. And we have been experienced both in the past week. We woke up to a call that half of San Marcos was flooded, including our apartment complex. Well Jesse and I weren't even home this weekend. This is the photo we received from another girl at the complex.

The windows are about 4 feet above ground. You can see the car in the back, that helps you realize how high it got. That huge pipe drifted from about half a mile back at a construction site.

When we finally got back home this is what we saw.

Okay so my car is the black Scion right there and you can tell in the back of the photo where the mud/debris is, is where the flooding stopped at. That is a whopping 15 ft. from reaching our apartment door. We feel so amazingly blessed that the flood didn't affect us. We just kind of accepted that we would have some sort of damage, but we did pray hard about it though on our drive home.

Although we were lucky, many weren't as lucky as us.

It's just such a tragedy. I am proud of my community though because hundreds of people have came together to help all of the victims of this disaster. I want to get out there and help so badly but I work during the week. I'm hoping this weekend I can find out where they are still having volunteers so I can help out.
As I drive through the city I see all of the things people are having to throw out on their lawn because it is ruined. Some people have lost so much, to everything that they own.. including their homes.

If you would like to help donate to any of these poor victims you can do so at Go Fund Me. Use the Search bar and search for "San Marcos" "Wimberly" or "Martindale" and you will see many different people who has suffered from the disaster.
Enough of sad things!
I am in the process of getting a whole new look for my blog. Something fresh and more "me". Can't wait until that is up.
I have 9 days left until (work) school is out and I have the whole summer off (with pay!). I'm still in awe that I have such an awesome job. I have so many things planned for the summer. First I am taking a trip to Tennessee to visit my aunt and two cousins. I haven't been to Tennessee to see them in at least 7 years. I also have want to go to Fiesta Texas for the first time. And so many other things. I will have so many things to blog about!~
Another reason I was gone was to have some seriously thinking about life. I keep learning more and more about being an adult and being happy.
For a couple weeks I felt like I was forcing myself into making my weekly posts. I wasn't really feeling what I was writing.. and I didn't like that one bit. I want to make posts that make me happy... that is the point right?
Everything is going to be different now. I'm still getting into my blog groove and I will find out my niche soon, promise!
I hope you have have had a great couple of weeks since I have been gone! Anything you want to share? I love hearing from y'all!! Have any cool plans for the summer? :)
Hope y'all have a great night!
A couple weeks ago I went and took some amazing photos of graffiti that is downtown in San Marcos! Don't miss out, click here to see all of the photos!!

Question of the post:
What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?

Mine is to explore river, parks, and busy areas of town and walk around. Taking awesome photos of course! Oh and spending time at amusement parks!

Well I hope you guys have a lovely Wednesday!!
