Daily Thoughts

In December I sprained my ankle really bad at work. Being the brillant runner I am, I was running out to a customer who was pulling away. (I worked at a bank) He forgot to sign a paper. I completely missed the outside step and went tumbling down. I didn't show any pain until I got inside. It was not fun. Anyone how has sprained your ankle knows the pain. So I was supposed to go see a doctor, but I never did. Three months later and now it still hurts. I regret not going to doctor. I am so getting an x-ray this summer. I mean three months is enough is it not? It shouldn't still be hurting.

Tomorrow is payday! Guys let me tell you, I started my job in mid-February and I am just now getting paid. That is a total of 3 months since I moved here that I am finally getting money. Can I get a hallelujah!!! Seriously, not having money sucks.
I'm not the type of person who craves money or has to have lots of it to blow on crap I really don't need. I am completely okay with just making enough to get by. I NEVER want my life to be circled around money. Money can be a very harmful thing. But girl when you are in debt because you moved and couldn't find a dang job, uh yes give me my freaking money now!

We have a dog park here in San Marcos, which is so awesome!! I love taking bevo. Lately it's been so rainy, and it was finally starting to get warm again and dry up all the puddles and what not...then it goes and rains again last night! I just want to take my dog to the park without having to come home and bathe him. It is not too much to ask!!

OH I forgot to tell y'all yesterday. I went to the library again and checked out some awesome books! I can't wait to share them with y'all!! Some on yoga, food, essential oils, and sign language. I have been wanting to learn it! Blame Switched at Birth TV show for that! I will get that out as soon as I can!

Hey go check out my best friends blog!

My Current Go To Makeup Routine

Okay so this post isn't going to be super detailed in the photos. I wanted it to be more detailed but I have yet to figure out my dang camera. I get too anxious to make posts that I'm just like forget it, I'll update it later. It's more of a talk about makeup.

I used to be super into makeup. Since I have my cosmetology license you know I know how to do makeup. Not like brilliantly, but good enough. Well about the middle of last year is when my fiance (then boyfriend) and I had finally decided to move to San Marcos. Because of that we had to cut back on things like crazy to save as much money as we could. (which was hard because we love food). So I decided to cut back on my makeup spending. It was so hard at first. I'd watch all the youtube videos about the newest products. Which granted yes, most were set in the west where apparently they get the newest stuff first. I would literally make a list of everything I wanted to get and get dissapointed when I know I shouldn't be buying it. Well around September I believe, I saw this blog where a girl was going a whole month without makeup. I was like hey! I've never kept up with anything for a whole month straight. I thought to myself that this would be a great plan. No makeup would be my skin getting a break and trying hard to get it clear and smooth, and also saving money on makeup.

Let me be the first to say, that month was a changing point in my life. I went a whole month without makeup. Except like two days because I had wedding and a quinceanera to attend. In that month that I went without makeup, my face felt like it could actually breathe for once. I felt more ~fresh~ , my skin was clearing, and hey!.. extra time to sleep in. Who doesn't love extra sleep. It felt so great that when I DID put on makeup, my face instantly felt heavy unable to breath. Does that make sense? It just didn't seem right. Which was great because I learned to love the natural me. I actually prefered it.
Fast forward to now. What has changed?

Well I still to this day (since middle of last year), I have spent a grand total of about $50 on makeup. Fifty freaking dollars. Are you kidding me? That's makeup suicide! Not kidding. I mean I know people who spend just that amount on a bottle of foundation. Giorgio Armani anyone? Yeah that bottle is $62 people! Don't get me wrong, I would killlll for a bottle of the Luminous Silk Foundation. Annnnywho, so yeah, $50 and that is on a much of items. (NYX always has BOGO sales at ulta)
The best part? I am completely, totally, 100% okay with that!

I do put on makeup now, but I keep it to a minimum most days. Kind of like the "no makeup makeup" look but with a few tweaks. I can still "see" my skin under the foundation and my eyes aren't completely dolled up. I love it, I really do. I feel fresh and pretty haha!

Without further ado here is what I wearing at the moment!

Sunday Some things #1

So I was inspired by Bree (Website here) by her Friday Favorite's so I decided to do something like it. I'm calling it Sundays Some things. A collection of ~ some things ~ that I found that I either just find awesome and things I am putting on a wish list. Just like Bree, I too need some consistency in my blogging so I hope this will help it.

Let's get started.

This is the first thing on my list of definite wants. Jesse and I are saving up to get a Canon 5D Mark II. They already have the Mark III out but the Mark II is still pretty new and still an amazing camera to have. It take photos and video. Jesse's family uses one just like this for their business and their photo's always turn out impeccable.

Holidays and Moving

Okay so finally I can get some photos up from the past few months. Dang I swear these past two months have been so hectic and hopefully they are finally settling down and getting back to normal, but better because now I am moved away and engaged. Ah, life is so perfect right now! Anywho, so back in December Jesse and I took a quick trip to Austin for a friend's wedding. It was so beautiful and I'm so happy for her to finally marry the man of her dreams! It's so awesome seeing high school sweethearts get married. Jeez I love weddings. Such a beautiful beautiful thing to witness. So before the wedding we stopped at the park and took a few silly photos.

Halloween makeup ideas

So Halloween is in two days! So excited you guys :)

I'm sure the most of you have already picked out your outfit long time ago and kudos to those who did so. Its hard to be a planner when your totally broke, and don't have much plans anyways lol.

But as for the rest of the people who are still pondering on what to do, and if you have enough money and time.. I thought I would give you some ideas on what you could do!

A little bit about me.

So I feel like I should introduce myself first before anything. Mainly for the purpose of people who don't know me. I'm hoping this blog will lead into something bigger one day. So let's get started!

Well I guess I could start with me first. I'm 22, I live in east Texas. A born and raised Texan. And even though I love traveling, I don't think I could call my home anywhere else. At least right now. There is still so much I haven't seen.

I have my cosmetology license. For almost two years now. Although I am not doing anything with my license right now, my first love will always be hair/makeup/skin. I do love it more for as a leisure.

I'm still really young and I guess I haven't found the thing I could see myself doing for a really long time. I'm the type of person that I like to do a little bit of everything honestly. Everything fascinates me. But I do have it narrowed down to about three things: Teacher (elementary or high school), surgical technician, or anything to do with math.
It is very hard deciding which path to go with. The dreadful taking classes and then halfway through (or even worse after I graduated) thinking nevermind I don't really like this. Maybe that's why I am hesitant about making such a life changing decision. But it does help knowing I'm totally not alone in this process.

But enough about that. Here are some quick facts about me.
  • I am weird. Plain and simple. and I LOVE that about me.
  • I can be an angel one minute and a devil the next. (not proud, total working progress)
  • I love meeting new people, new places, and new things. As straight forward as that is. There is nothing I won't turn down that's new to me.
  • I can be pretty OCD, and I have social anxiety at times (alot)
  • I'm pretty much horrible at describing myself

So here is my dog.

I got him in May from a lady who was moving and couldn't keep him. She was a client of mine one day. I felt like the heavens were all aligned properly that day. I have always wanted a Yorkshire Terrier, and with the right price he was miiiine. Ever since then he has been absolutely perfect (despite some bathroom messes). Although he can be a very stubborn dog, he is so sweet and so energetic. OH, and I almost forgot, his name is BEVO! I mean how cool is that!! Named after the Texas Longhorns. The most perfect name for a dog.

Next is my Partner in crime,

*From 2012*

Jesse Rocha. He is my better half..sometimes. Sometimes I'm better ahaha. In September was our 3rd year anniversary. Our relationship has been the biggest roller coaster of my entire life, but it's been the most fun. I've learned how to be patient, to be angry for good reasons. I've learned I do have motherly instincts. I've learned to love unconditionally. Most importantly I have learned that there is no such thing as perfection, but love at first site is completely real.

In just two and a half short months we will be moving to San Marcos, TX. He will be attending Texas State University to get his Bachelor's in Visual Communication (Graphic Design). I couldn't be more proud of him.

I'm pretty excited that I finally get to place house. To have a place all to ourselves. To run around in our underwear and not worry about anything (totally not kidding). I get to cook and clean and take care of my man. Has a nice ring to it.

But it's not going to be all fun and games. Neither of us have lived alone before and we have 0% idea of how to do it. It'll be like jumping into a pool without knowing how to swim. Hopefully our instincts will kick in. But none the less, it will be life changing, and I couldn't be more happier.

Well that's just the top layer about me. There is so much more to learn, but we will save that for another rainy day. Toodle-ooo!

Toodle-ooo!
