A Trip to the Blanco River!

Hope you guys are having a great week so far! I'm getting this post up really late..or really early, however you look at it! I can't believe it is almost June. This year has FLEW by!! I'm sitting here thinking I can't believe it has been 5 months since we moved to San Marcos. We absolutely love it here. It has everything we need and want. Lovely people, great community, amazing rivers! We went to the Blanco river a couple weekends ago. We had a picnic (kind of) and then we explored around the river. We had Bevo with us so we had to be careful where we went walking. He seemed to really like the water but he was still a little nervous. I bet is we brought him back a few more times he would really start to have lots of fun.

Get ready, I took a lot of pictures.

Goofy smiles.

Every time we come here we always wonder how you get that that huge house up there.

This was our "picnic".. some T-Bell

He was Sunbathing.

The water is soo clear.

A little apprehensive.

This is the other side of the river where the waterfall is.

Love this photo.

Oh, What a Beautiful Sunset

**New Feature** A song on every post to discover music!  Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Man on Fire

Hey guys, how is your weekend going so far? Hope it is going great! Jesse and I stayed up till nearly 4am last night, that was a first! We finally got Wi-Fi set up in our apartment. I actually use my tablet now, and now our TV has become a smart TV (kind of) by using our WiiU. I can watch all my Netflix shows on the TV now. You guys have no idea how happy this makes me. Whenever Jesse had to use the computer I literally had nothing to do. We had no Wi-Fi cable or anything. So I just watched movies. BUT that is a thing of the past now!!

I was in one of those moods earlier where I wanted to clean EVERYTHING. You just feel inspired to have a clean home and it gives you a sense of pride for your own things. It was a great feeling. That lasted till the time Jesse left for work and I turned on Netflix. Dang Netflix is so addicting haha.

Anyways, last night there was an absolutely beautiful sunset. I just happened to catch a glimpse of through the window and ran out to take some photos. Wish I could have had a better view of them but I still think these are amazing. I love capturing sunsets. And sunrises! I have always wanted to just take a random trip down to Galveston just to see the sunrise. Now that I live in San Marcos, it's only a little over 3 hours to Galveston. I'm really thinking one weekend soon that out of the blue Jesse and I will just grab ourselves and Bevo and drive down early one morning to see it. Sounds amazing right?

Totally Tuesday #10

Hey guys! I'm finally getting this weeks list up! I couldn't get it up earlier because I woke up needing to go to urgent care. But I'm okay now. Well not okay, but I have the proper medication. So anyways. How is y'alls week going so far? Any cool plans?

My (future) In-Laws are coming down this weekend to swap out my fiance's car. He was driving his parent's car while his car was back at home. He is currently doing an engine swap so he was using his parent's car. Well unfortunately the parent's car is getting in too bad of condition so they are going to give him his car back for a little while till they can swap the engine. Either way, him and I are both so excited to have his car back! It's been a rare thing for me to ride in his car. Since we started dating he has done so many things to it so I haven't gotten to ride in it much. I'm glad to finally be able to take the joy rides in it that he has been wanting to do with me so badly!

This is his baby! A 1968 Ford Mustang. It's beautiful right?? I love his car so much! He loves this thing more than me I bet haha! It's so mean, and when he gets his new, bigger engine.. well the neighbors are totally going to hate us! Oh well, gotta love a loud car! Tell me what y'all think!

Anyways, Click more to see this weeks list!! :)

Trip to The Childrens Park

So I finally get to get the photos up from my trip to Tyler over spring break! I took so many and I thought I would share a few with you. I am by no means a professional photographer (whatever the true definition of that is). At least at this point in my life. I do, however, have the greatest passion taking photographs. Bad or good. I love going on adventures and documenting what I find. I love capturing precious moments of people's life when it isn't posed. I love everything about photography. I believe a "great" or 'professional" photographer is all of a matter of opinion. Because we all see and depict art differently. I love what I photograph, and I have a never-dying love for it.

The Childrens Park in Tyler, TX began in 2001. The park is a special place to bring remembrance to all the children whether be alive, lost, special needs or to the mothers who are infertile. To read the full story about The Childrens Park, you can visit their website here.

Mini Vaca

Heyyy guys! Don't you just love sucky camera quality photos? Gives it this vintage-y vibe to it. I'm totally being serious! Sometimes I really like that my phone is ancient.

Anyways! Sorry I have been gone the past week and a half! Last week I was so busy and then Jesse's friends came down to visit so we were running around the whole time. Then on Saturday I drove back home to east Texas to visit my family for a few days. Jesse was working and I didn't want to just sit around, so I thought why not take a mini vaca?! I didn't plan a single thing and I didn't tell anyone I was there because it was spur of the moment and I didn't want to let people down if I didn't get to see them (wow what a run-on). I'll be back in the summer for a long time so don't worry!

I took lots of photos! I'm so excited to put them up! I want to do it asap but the next two days I'll be at SXSW and then on Saturday Jesse's familia visits, so it might be Sunday before I get them up!

I took some of around Tyler. Well really of one park. If there is one thing you know about Tyler it's that Tyler is the Rose Capital of America. So to speak. It's absolutely beautiful! I love my hometown. There is a place called the Rose Garden where it has 14 acres of land with over 38,000 roses of at least 500 different varieties. They bloom in the spring and again in mid-October. It's breathtaking really! I wanted to take photos there to show you a little of my hometown but sadly they aren't ready yet. I'm sure to a rose advocate you might think I'm silly for not knowing this. I assure you I know very little about plant life. Wish I knew more though!

Chuys Creamy Jalapeno Dip

*Some of these photo's are blurry. The camera was having focusing problems while we were making the dip. Because I wanted to get this post out I was too impatient to try another time*

Calling all Chuy's lovers!!

If you are like me, and you love Chuy's Creamy Jalapeno dip, Jesse and I have made a dip that tastes nearly the same. It's cheaper, and it makes a lot more than you can buy at the store. Plus you make it whenever you want. Where I live the nearest location is about 45 minutes away so it's nice knowing I can make a pretty decent copy cat of it right at home!

Sunday Some things #1

So I was inspired by Bree (Website here) by her Friday Favorite's so I decided to do something like it. I'm calling it Sundays Some things. A collection of ~ some things ~ that I found that I either just find awesome and things I am putting on a wish list. Just like Bree, I too need some consistency in my blogging so I hope this will help it.

Let's get started.

This is the first thing on my list of definite wants. Jesse and I are saving up to get a Canon 5D Mark II. They already have the Mark III out but the Mark II is still pretty new and still an amazing camera to have. It take photos and video. Jesse's family uses one just like this for their business and their photo's always turn out impeccable.
