March Ipsy Bag

Hello! It's late Saturday night and I am all by myself while my fiance is at work. I hate him being gone late at night. I know it's already been three months since we moved to San Marcos, but I still get kind of nervous being in a new place. It seems like a trustworthy place though here, so I shouldn't be worried. It's funny because all I ever hear about San Marcos and Texas State is that it's a party city, but I have yet to see or hear one party. Who knows!

I have had an Ipsy subscription for a year now, probably more. I don't remember. If you don't know what ipsy is you can visit their website here. It is a monthly subscription service for $10 a month. You will receive a cute little makeup bag with 4-5 skin, hair, nail, or beauty products in it ranging from sample size to full size.

At first you will take a test to be able to personalize your bag to your likes, skin tone, hair color, etc. You can however retake this quiz whenever you like to change up your bag.

Once you receive your products you can go onto the website to see a full detailed description for all the products. You can also give each product a review to sway your bag into a direction you like more. For example: They used to send me finger nail polish like every month. I never paint my nails so it was just no use in getting them. So I went online and told them how I didn't like getting polish and they stopped sending me some.

They also have a point system where you can earn points for giving feedback and referring friends to Ipsy. You can then turn in your points to receive nice prizes.

I feel like ipsy is a really great, and cheap subscription service that lets you discover so many new brands. I have received so many new things that I absolutely love and rebuy to this day!

I want to start doing a review on the products I get each month. So here today is the March Ipsy Bag.
Btw some of the photos are on the blurry side. The camera I use is so retarded sometimes. I cannot wait to upgrade. If you have any questions about any of the products, please feel free to ask!

So I have used this a couple times and I can honestly say it is actually really really good. It feels so nice on my skin. I put it on before my makeup (duh). It's not too light and not too heavy. It also has a citrus-y scent to it. I like it, but I don't know if others would think it is too much.

Would I repurchase? Yes I would. I think it's a perfect day cream that is great for my skin. I haven't broken out from it, and it has made my complexion look very healthy.

2. EVELYN IONA CONCEALER (Flawless; Medium Ivory)

First off, it's way too dark for me. I am just too white for any concealer haha. I tried it on anyways. What I noticed at first was it was really creamy, which I love. I could apply it easily without tugging at my undereye. Unfortunately it did not cover well. I don't have prominent dark circles but I do like my under eyes to look much lighter than the rest of my face and it just didn't seem to do the job. I even used it on my blemishes and I ran into the same problem. I wonder if it would do a better job on a person whose skin tone worked better with it.

Would I repurchase? Probably not. I did like that I would creamy, but I didn't feel like it is buildable in any way to do the things I need it for.

3. NYX Butter Lipstick (Pops)

I love NYX. Point blank. I have yet to use a product from them that I didn't love. And this Butter Lipstick did not disappoint. The swatch I did causes the color to look much darker than it really is. This is a PERFECT natural shade and especially great for spring! It looks almost like the color of my lips but with a little umph, you know? I loved it the moment I put it on. It's so easy to glide on and your lips feel so moisturized.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely. This is a perfect shade for everyone. I can see myself using it as an everyday lippie!

4. Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind (Face Highlighter)

Mine was broke when I got it! Wah! Oh well I can use it anyways. So my first thought was.. pink highlighter? I have seen some really nice highlighter that were pink that actually did look good, but most did not. On my hand, it looks beautiful. On my face, I think it was a little too much pink. It looks very beautiful and it does make my face glow, but it is just too pink for my liking! I believe if you like highlighters on the rosey side, you would absolutely love this!

Would I repurchase? This shade, no. If they had another shade I would. Sadly I don't think they do.

Umm yes please. I love anything from pūr~lisse! This one is another to add to the list. Although it doesn't remove all of my mascara (I'm a mascara junky) it does removes all of my face makeup and it doesn't cause my face to feel dry. That's the number one thing I love.

Would I repurchase? Yes I would. It does a great great at removing makeup and making my face feel light and moisturized.

All in all I liked the bag. I love getting skin type makeup and I usually am never disappointed by the ones I get. Concealers/foundations are never in my shade when I get them so I don't even try haha. Maybe this post inspires you to try ipsy or any of these products!

~~~
I have so many awesome posts coming this week! I'm going to try to get them all set up tonight and tomorrow so I can just schedule them in throughout the week! Maybe since I'm writing it down on here that'll be motivation to actually do it haha!
I hope everyone has a lovely and fun Easter Day tomorrow!!
